Client Types offer a unique way to track your employee performance. When you make an Appointment you can assign a Client Type to the Appointment. The Employee Performance report tracks how well each of your Employees manages to retain or convert Clients into loyal Clients.
Standard Client Types
ChiDesk comes with four Client Types already loaded for you. You can alter these if you require, but we recommend using these built-in options.
New
You can assign an Appointment to the New Client Type if it is a new client or first time client at your business.
New Request
You can assign an Appointment to the New Request Client Type if they are a new or first time client at your business, but they request their service to be performed by a specific Employee.
Request
You can assign an Appointment to the Request Client Type if they are a repeat client at your business and they request a specific Employee for their Appointment.
Transient
You can assign an Appointment to the Transient Client Type if they are a repeat client at your business and they have different Employees performing their service each time they visit.

Adding and Editing Client Types
- Browse to the Client Types screen under the Settings menu.
- Click New on the action bar or select an item to edit.
- Type in a Name and Description for your Client Type.
- Click Save to save your changes.
Deleting Client Types
- From the Client Types screen open the required item that you would like to delete.
- Click the Delete button on the action bar.
- If the item is not being used you will be prompted to confirm the delete by clicking the Delete button.
