Items such as Client Invoices, Vouchers, Products and other items in ChiDesk are assigned an automatically generated number when they are created.
If you would like to customize how this number is generated you can do so from the Numbering screen.

Adjusting Automatic Numbering
- Browse to the Numbering screen under the Settings menu.
- To adjust the letter used at the start of a code, edit the Prefix field for the desired item.
- To adjust the next number to be used, update the Number field.
- Click the Save button to save your changes.
